Automatic Renewal — Configuration
Automatic renewal helps ensure the continuity of your WebTic services without manual intervention. Here is how to configure and manage it.
Enabling automatic renewal
- Client Area → My Services → Select the service
- Information tab → "Automatic Renewal" section
- Enable the toggle → Confirm
- The service will be billed automatically before expiry
Renewal schedule
| When | Action |
|---|---|
| D-14 | Renewal reminder email |
| D-7 | Invoice generated and automatic debit attempt |
| D-3 | Reminder if payment not made |
| D-0 (expiry) | Service suspended if not renewed |
| D+7 | Service permanently terminated (data deleted) |
Payment method for automatic renewal
For automatic debit to work:
- Client Area → My Account → Payment Methods
- Add a credit card or set up a SEPA direct debit
- Set this method as the "default payment method"
Disabling automatic renewal
If you want to stop a service at its expiry date:
- My Services → Service → Disable automatic renewal
- Or contact support for early termination
Warning: Disabling does not result in a refund for the current period — it takes effect at the next due date.
Renewal with account balance
If you use a prepaid balance:
- Make sure your balance is sufficient before the due date
- Enable low balance alerts: My Account → Notifications → Balance alert
- Set an alert threshold (e.g. alert at €20 remaining balance)
